Hi……so yea well this kind of awkward I have never talked to someone or told someone one of my stories without them actually being physically present. But no worries as long as you (the reader) don’t mind some grammatical errors then it´ll be just fine. Ok so then just for reference although I come from L.A. im a foreign exchange student in Denmark (only until June though). Know that, that little into is finished lets gets straight to the ‘adventure’.
This is around the time when I first came to Denmark so around November-December time. I went to town with a couple of Danish friends of mine that I have made, apparently in Denmark it is ok to stay out until 3-4 o’clock in the morning, so that is what we did and let me tell you…..I will never do it again -. -; . Anyways let’s just name the people I’m with there’s me Steph, Lucas, Malene, and Mikky. Now to understand the full story one must understand a few things about me 1. I like manga and anime 2. I don’t like mummies 3. I don’t drink 4. I HATE the cold (ironic huh since I came to Denmark :P=). Ok so we begin at the begging. My friend Mikky (this is a nickname) is a friend I made over an anime network forum, turned out she lived in the same town I was exchanging in so we decide to hang out together. She invites me to hang out at town, in Danish terms this means drink, smoke, and party until the sun comes up, so I nicely declined like so “Mikky I’m really not that kind of party girl, sides I don’t drink or smoke so I don’t think that I will be much fun to be around when you are drunk…..and I really don’t want to carry you home when your drunk.” Mikky is a little affended and states “Steph….are you chicken to hang out with me just cuz your not like me? That’s stupid besides I wouldn’t drink when I’m with you I promise just nice and clean fun.”…….you get the picture on how the conversation went after a few hurtful and pride challenging comments later I decide to trust Mikky and go to town with her. YAY! Party!!!! Wooohoooo (does a little cabbage patch). It’s a Friday night and were at the Crazy Daisy dancing and laughing and Mikky’s keeping her promise about not drinking it’s a great night. After a few hours of dancing we decide to go home and everything ends well. =)……..NOT! For those that don’t know me you will soon learn, if you decide to keep reading my blog, that nothing ends that nicely when I am involved, especially when I am with my friend rebekah (but that’s a story for another time). My lovely friend Mikky did not keep her promise to not drink and she was as the danes say ‘pissing drunk’ she had soooooo many mixed drinks and shots that I felt sick just watching her chug all of them down. After about only 2 hours of ‘partying’ I decided we had to take a taxi home so that she can sleep off the alcohol……I should have just left the idiot. First she gets into this huge argument with me about how she ‘wasn’t drunk’ then the girl throws up on my clothes. When I say through up on my clothes I mean that none got on the floor just on my clothes…..A whole dress completely ruined and on top of that it smelled…well I leave that up to your imagination. The girl doesn’t even have the gall to say sorry she goes up to the counter to get another drink! Now I know what your thinking I just left the club and cried myself home. No im not that kind of nice hearted person, I grabbed her by the arm and quite literally dragged her out of the club to stick her in a cab and send her home with a note of how much she owed me for the dress. If only life would be so kind as soon as we get outside the club she bumbs into these group of people heading into the club and gets into an argument with them. My thoughts are as follows “When she is sober going to verbally abuse and slaughter her!” after having these dangerous thoughts Mikky gets into a fist fight with one of the girls in the group. Know my through up covered self is not amused at all and contemplating just leaving but of course I somehow get dragged into the fight. Wondering how? Well one of the girls decided to state that I should learn to handle my friends and learn the difference between clothes and toilets. Yes well lets just say that my tolerance level for the night was gone with those words and I turned around to give these obnoxious brats a lesson about speaking without knowing all the facts when a guy around my age came in between me and the girls. His name I would learn latter on is Lucas and the girl fighting with Mikky was his good friend Malene. Mind you at this time I still didn’t know very much Danish so Im not sure what he said but Lucas managed to calm the rest of his group down and separate Mikky and Malene from each other. Know I’m completely pissed, confused, and grateful to this guy all at once so when he turns and asks in English if I was ok I did the most embarrassing act in all my time here in Denmark. I break down and cry like a little kid who didn’t get their candy. So with that done Lucas just looks away confused and probably also feeling really awkward because a girl he doesn’t know is covered in through up and crying in front of him with a lot of people staring at us because of the ‘scene’ that our group made and I continued to make. So he does what any rational person does in this situation…..he gives me a piece of candy and tells me to calm down….guess what….I don’t calm down but I at least stop crying and we somehow got both of our friends in separate cabs back to their respective homes. After all of this I have calmed down a bit, but I was still completely pissed because I smelled terrible, my hair was a mess, and my eyes were red from crying. Lucas however, somehow manages to laugh, when I asked why he was laughing his simply reply was “Because I have never seen a girl able to stand up straight, and hold her head up high while looking….well the way you do.” Lets just say that because I was emotionally exhausted I didn’t have the heart to reply and said that I would pay him back for those words over a hot chocolate, he was cute after all. ;P
Well that is the first adventure for you, hope you liked it and will trying reading another one ;)
